Long Sleeve Madness: Milan and Juventus Go Full Long Sleeve

  • Long-Sleeve Comeback: Long-sleeved kits, once rare, have been increasingly reappearing in European football.
  • Milan and Juventus: Both AC Milan and Juventus players wore special long-sleeved 4th kits in their recent matches because no short-sleeve versions were supplied.
  • Long-Sleeve Trendsetters: Players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah have popularized the long-sleeve look, though the Serie A situation was mandatory for all players.

After years of disappearing from football pitches across Europe, long-sleeved kits have been making a genuine comeback in recent years, but nobody expected it to hit quite like this.

AC Milan and Juventus both took to the pitch this weekend wearing special 4th kits, and in a twist straight out of the 90s, every single player was kitted out in long sleeves. Why everyone? Certainly, because no short-sleeve versions were even supplied.

If we look at images of previous matches of both teams, all players are wearing short sleeves (apparently, Adidas and Puma do not supply the teams with long-sleeve kits). Now, in the special-edition kit matches, all players are wearing long-sleeve kits. Several players, including Luka Modrić - clearly not a man who reads the retro kit memo - were spotted rolling their sleeves up.

Just ten years ago, there were hardly any players left wearing long-sleeve kits, but today there are hundreds of top players embracing the look again - though most of them probably had a choice in the matter. Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah, Havertz and others have been leading the long-sleeve revival, making it look elegant and intentional — unlike the full-squad-mandatory-sleeve situation that unfolded in Serie A.

Both clubs lost their matches with their full long-sleeve squads.

Como 1907 26-27 Home Kit Released With Shocking €125 Price Tag

Como 1907's new 26-27 home kit has arrived, but the price tag is intense. The Italian club is charging €125 for the home jersey, which is €25 more expensive than the standard Adidas retail price of €100. While Como is asking €125 at its own official outlets, Adidas should sell the exact same kit for the standard €100 price through its own retail channels (but without the sponsors, which some surely prefer).

The steep €125 price tag stands out even further when compared to previous releases. For supporters reluctant to pay such a high amount for the new 26-27 shirt, last season's home kit is available for half price at just €55 (full price was €110).
