What if Nike Released the Spectacular Inter Jacket for Other Elite Teams?

  • Inter Milan Jacket Release: Nike released a special Inter Milan 24-25 anthem jacket with a large star graphic.
  • Template Application: Footy Headlines imagined and created mock-ups of how the star design template would look on jackets for other elite teams like PSG, Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Brazil.
  • Design Success: The star design works well with the color schemes of various teams, suggesting Nike could use it as a global template.

A few days ago, Nike officially released a special Inter Milan 24-25 anthem jacket, featuring a stunning, oversized star graphic that immediately caught the attention of kit enthusiasts.

Given how successful the design was, we at Footy Headlines imagined a scenario where Nike applied this same spectacular template to their other Elite clubs (and national teams). The results are nothing short of impressive.

Nike Elite Teams Anthem Jackets - Based on Inter 'Star' Template

The original Inter jacket features a sleek black base with a massive, stylized blue star wrapping around the torso and sleeves. We took this "blueprint" and applied the signature color palettes of PSG, Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Brazil.

Because the base design is so strong, it works perfectly for almost every team we tested:

  • PSG: The Parisian mock-up features the club's Hechter-inspired blue and red (with a pinkish hue) accents, popping vibrantly against the black.
  • FC Barcelona: The Blaugrana colors are split, with blue on one side and red on the other, creating a dynamic look.
  • Chelsea: A cleaner, monochromatic approach with different shades of blue and silver.
  • Atletico Madrid: The red and white contours offer a sharp contrast.
  • Brazil: Perhaps the most striking of the bunch, the "Canarinho" yellow and green neon effects look incredible on the dark background.

Currently, this specific star design remains exclusive to Inter Milan. However, seeing these mock-ups, it is clear that Nike could easily turn this into a global template for their top-tier teams.

Which of these concepts is your favorite? Should Nike release this jacket style for all their elite clubs? Let us know in the comments below.

Good or Bad? Rexona Armpit Sponsorship on 2026 World Cup Referee Shirts

Update - Tuesday, June 23, 2026: Following our publication, Rexona contacted us to provide additional context on the activation.

According to Ben Curtis, Global Brand Vice President for Rexona at Unilever, the sponsorship is intended to highlight fourth officials, who "may not always be the focus of attention but are at the centre of some of football's most intense and anticipated moments," as part of Rexona's "It Won't Let You Down" campaign during the FIFA World Cup 2026. "They need to remain cool and calm under pressure - That's exactly why this partnership is such a natural fit for Rexona."

The 2026 World Cup referee shirts feature one of the most amusing and strategic sponsorship placements seen in football. Deodorant brand Rexona has their logo positioned directly under the armpits of the match officials' jerseys, creating a highly contextual advertising opportunity.

The Rexona logo remains largely hidden during regular play but becomes clearly visible whenever a referee raises their arms to signal a free kick, award a penalty, or issue a card. This placement perfectly matches the deodorant product being advertised, resulting in a memorable piece of marketing on the sport's biggest stage.

While this specific placement has caught the attention of fans during the 2026 tournament, it is not entirely unprecedented. A similar concept was previously executed in Brazil, where Avanço deodorant sponsored the armpits of Corinthians. However, Rexona's execution at a World Cup brings the clever concept to a massive global audience.
