Design Bournemouth's First-Ever Hummel Kit - New Kit Creator Competition
- Kit Design Competition: A design competition has opened on FIFA Kit Creator for designing Bournemouth's first Hummel kit, as they switch from Umbro in the 2026-27 season.
- Design Freedom: Designers have complete creative freedom regarding the kit's color scheme, despite the club's traditional red and black stripes, and can design home, away, or third kits.
- Submission Details: Only one entry is allowed per person, and designs must be submitted on Kit Creator by next Sunday, with questions directed to DMFroomer on the Kit Creator website or Discord.
Following the news that AFC Bournemouth will be ditching Umbro to sign a brand-new kit deal with Hummel from the 2026-27 season, a brand-new design competition has officially opened over on FIFA Kit Creator.
With the Cherries preparing to wear the iconic chevrons for the very first time in their history, the kit design community is being challenged to predict - or simply create - what the new era on the South Coast could look like.
The 'Bournemouth x Hummel' Design Challenge
Because Bournemouth has never worn Hummel before, designers have an entirely blank canvas to work with. While the club traditionally wears red and black stripes for their primary home shirts, the competition is completely open to any color scheme, meaning you can try your hand at a classic home, a vibrant away, or an experimental third kit.
As always, only one entry is allowed per person.
Head over to Kit Creator now to submit your design before the deadline next Sunday. If you have any questions regarding the rules, you can reach out to the competition organizer, DMFroomer, on the official Kit Creator website or Discord.

Good or Bad? Rexona Armpit Sponsorship on 2026 World Cup Referee Shirts
Update - Tuesday, June 23, 2026: Following our publication, Rexona contacted us to provide additional context on the activation.
According to Ben Curtis, Global Brand Vice President for Rexona at Unilever, the sponsorship is intended to highlight fourth officials, who "may not always be the focus of attention but are at the centre of some of football's most intense and anticipated moments," as part of Rexona's "It Won't Let You Down" campaign during the FIFA World Cup 2026. "They need to remain cool and calm under pressure - That's exactly why this partnership is such a natural fit for Rexona."
The 2026 World Cup referee shirts feature one of the most amusing and strategic sponsorship placements seen in football. Deodorant brand Rexona has their logo positioned directly under the armpits of the match officials' jerseys, creating a highly contextual advertising opportunity.
The Rexona logo remains largely hidden during regular play but becomes clearly visible whenever a referee raises their arms to signal a free kick, award a penalty, or issue a card. This placement perfectly matches the deodorant product being advertised, resulting in a memorable piece of marketing on the sport's biggest stage.
While this specific placement has caught the attention of fans during the 2026 tournament, it is not entirely unprecedented. A similar concept was previously executed in Brazil, where Avanço deodorant sponsored the armpits of Corinthians. However, Rexona's execution at a World Cup brings the clever concept to a massive global audience.
