Update - Thursday, May 28, 2026: English League Two club Gillingham has become the first team to get a new kit with the Macron 3D fabric. The club uses the Matrix shirt, with a 100% bespoke design, including a classic polo collar.

Italian sportswear brand Macron has officially unveiled a new range of high-performance materials that will be utilized for their upcoming 2026-2027 football kits.

New Macron 3D Fabrics

Dubbed the "Eco 3D Knit", the new Macron technical jacquard fabrics are made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. Macron has developed three distinct variations of the material, named Weave, Laser, and Matrix. Each style features a unique structural pattern directly woven into the yarn, giving the shirts a distinctive three-dimensional effect and tactile feel while maintaining top-tier moisture management and breathability.

The highly structured material, of course, allows for full garment customization through sublimation printing, ensuring vibrant club colors and bespoke designs. Macron said that match kits utilizing these new Eco 3D Knit jacquard fabrics will be sold exclusively in the "Authentic" player-issue version, guaranteeing that fans receive the exact same high-quality shirts worn by the professionals on the pitch. Macron will not offer separate authentic/replica options of their kits.

The Hummel chevrons on the shoulders, main sponsor Monzo, and sleeve sponsor have all been switched to bright pink, while a large pink ribbon takes center stage on the chest between the supplier mark and club crest.

This matchday edition follows the earlier release of a limited-edition all-pink collector's shirt unveiled by the club at the beginning of the month. Match-worn shirts from the game are set to be auctioned off to raise funds for breast cancer charity initiatives.
