Massive Hype: 50+ Meter Queue For Fairly Priced Munich Vintage Kit Pop-Up Store

  • Store Opening: A Munich vintage football shirt pop-up store called "Trikot Passion" opened with a large queue of customers eager to purchase items.
  • Fair Pricing: The store was founded by a group of young football fans aiming to offer vintage shirts at reasonable prices, ranging from €29 to €109, in contrast to the inflated prices of established retailers.
  • Limited Availability: The pop-up store is only open for three days, from April 23 to April 25, and the founders have no plans for an online store or future pop-ups, emphasizing the importance of a physical community.

On Thursday evening, a brand-new temporary vintage football shirt store opened its doors in Munich, and the response has been nothing short of staggering. A queue of more than 50 meters formed outside the shop before the doors officially opened. Footy Headlines was on site to check out the hype firsthand and speak directly with the creators.

Trikot Passion: Munich Vintage Kit Pop-Up Store

Named "Trikot Passion" ("Kit Passion" - Trikot is the German word for football kit), the pop-up store was founded by a group of five 20-year-old football fans who wanted to actively counter the increasingly expensive vintage shirt market. The idea was born out of genuine frustration. After seeing classic 1990s shirts being sold for upwards of €180 by established retailers - such as during a recent vintage collaboration at the FC Bayern World store - the group decided that retro kits needed to be accessible again, especially for younger fans and students.

The founders spent months scouring the areas surrounding Munich to build up an impressive inventory. They successfully collected around 560 classic football shirts and 150 retro track jackets to sell at much more reasonable rates. This strictly fair-pricing strategy clearly resonated with the local kit community.

Prices in the pop-up range strictly between €29 and €109. Highly sought-after classics, such as a Reebok Liverpool 1996-98 home shirt, are priced at a very reasonable €95. Meanwhile, a Manchester City 2009-10 home shirt is available for just €55, and a classic Inter Milan Javier Zanetti shirt is listed for €69.

Adding a touch of ultimate prestige to the launch, German World Cup-winning goalkeeping legend Sepp Maier was even present as a special guest for the grand opening.

No shirt did cost over 109 euros, and the average price was 50 euros

However, our visit did reveal one noticeable downside for buyers. Too many of the impressive inventory items were size Small (S) shirts, which could become a problem in the coming days as stock flew off the shelves quickly.

The "Trikot Passion" pop-up store has temporarily taken over a former pizzeria at Blutenburgstraße 50 in Munich's Neuhausen district. However, interested fans will have to be extremely quick to grab a bargain. The physical shop is only open for three days, running strictly from April 23 to April 25.

The founders have also officially confirmed that they have no plans for an online store to follow, and do not know if they will run another Pop-Up store again. They want to focus entirely on the social aspect of collecting, emphasizing the importance of a physical community meeting point where buyers can actually feel the different vintage fabrics in person.

Adidas Teams Twinned by Product Code & Design

Update - Sunday, June 7, 2026: As spotted Indonesian jersey experts @Jerseyforum, Adidas teams with the same design also share the product. In particular, they do not have the usual Team + Shirt Type Name (e.g. FCB A 26 JSY), but are called Custom Licensed Jersey (CULIC26 JSY).

Templates are not as common as they were in the past, but smaller Adidas teams still do not have custom designs always. In the outgoing 25-26 season, teams such as Düsseldorf, Al Ahly, and Sparta Praha all used the same Locker Room design with custom colors.
