2026 World Cup Round of 16 Kit Makers

  • Competitive Kit Maker Landscape: The 2026 World Cup Round of 32 features a highly competitive landscape among kit makers, with Nike, Adidas, and Puma almost on par, unlike previous tournaments dominated by just two brands.
  • Top Supplier Standings: Adidas leads the round of 32 with 10 teams, while Nike and Puma are closely tied with 9 teams each, indicating the most balanced competition in knockout stage kit supplier history.
  • Presence of Smaller Brands: Four smaller kit suppliers—Kelme, Marathon Sports, Capelli, and Umbro—each have one team represented in the 2026 World Cup Round of 32, showcasing a broader market presence beyond the major players.

Update - Saturday, July 4, 2026: Only the three big football brands are left in the 2026 World Cup - Adidas, Nike and Puma. Nike leads with six teams, while Adidas and Puma both have 5. In only one match, two teams with the same brands meet - Norway vs Brazil.

2026 World Cup Round of 16 Kit Makers

June 28, 2026: 2026 World Cup Round of 32 Kit Makers

Adidas leads the way with 10 teams still in the tournament, while Nike and Puma are locked level on 9 teams each, making it the most competitive three-way kit supplier battle seen at a World Cup in the knockout stages. Four smaller brands also have representation in the round of 32.

Compared to the start, the smaller suppliers lost way more teams than the big - they started with 11 teams (almost 25%), but now only have 4 (12.5%). Adidas lost 4 teams, Nike 3, and Puma 2.

The full breakdown is as follows:

Adidas (10): Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Sweden, Japan, Belgium, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Algeria

Nike (9): Brazil, Canada, USA, Netherlands, France, Norway, England, Croatia, Australia

Puma (9): Switzerland, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Paraguay, Egypt, Senegal, Austria, Portugal, Ghana

Others (4): Bosnia and Herzegovina (Kelme), Ecuador (Marathon Sports), Cape Verde (Capelli), DR Congo (Umbro)

The four outsider brands make for particularly compelling reading - Kelme, Marathon Sports, Capelli and Umbro all have a team in the last 32 of the biggest football tournament on the planet.
