Lionel Messi brought an end to his storied international career as Argentina faced Benin at the Estadio Monumental, and Adidas ensured the milestone was marked in bespoke fashion. Custom Adidas F50 Messi Farewell Boots

In this final match, Messi was still wearing the Adidas F50 “El Último Tango” boots from the 2026 World Cup. However, Adidas added one special, subtle detail to the heel of the boots.

On the standard edition of the F50 'El Último Tango' signature boots, this section showcases the standard Adidas logo. For Messi's final Argentina match, the German brand removed its own logo entirely and substituted it with a metallic gold number 10.

The zero was specially stylized as a victory laurel wreath encircling the Sol de Mayo from the Argentine national flag.

This heel detail was crafted to tie directly into the wider aesthetic of his farewell capsule. Messi wore a unique sky-blue and white match shirt that traded the Adidas chest logo for his personal 'M' emblem and incorporated shimmering gold detailing across the crest, numbers, and trim. The bespoke white, blue, and gold F50 boots, dubbed 'El Último Tango', matched the kit's palette seamlessly.

Messi marked the send-off in vintage fashion on the pitch. In his 208th and final senior appearance in Albiceleste colors, he registered two assists and slotted home a 71st-minute penalty in a 3-0 victory over Benin, putting a definitive seal on his international career.
