Esporte Clube Bahia has officially unveiled an exclusive 2026 jersey for its Sócio Esquadrão membership program, resulting from a popular fan design contest. The winning concept, dubbed the "Esquadrão de Ouro" (Golden Squad), was created by Giovanna Menezes, who made history as the first woman to win the club's annual kit competition.
With the 2026 World Cup kicking off soon, the contest operated under the theme "My Bahia, My National Team," encouraging supporters to seamlessly blend the visual identity of the Brazilian club with the spirit of the famous Seleção.
Bahia 2026 Special Kit
The winning jersey features a base elevated by several clever national team references. A metallic gold Bahia crest sits centrally on the chest as a direct nod to the World Cup trophy. On the shoulders, a bold blue stripe pays homage to the iconic uniform worn by Brazil during their 2002 World Cup victory. The sleeves are detailed with the club's famous "BBMP" acronym alongside five stars representing Brazil's five world titles, while 27 subtle stars on the lower front symbolize the Brazilian states and the Federal District.
To complete the bespoke concept, the phrase "Meu Bahia Minha Seleção" is printed on the upper back just below the collar.
This special-edition shirt will not be available for general retail purchase, instead serving as an exclusive reward for eligible Sócio Esquadrão members who registered for the program before the May 2025 cutoff date.
