Yesterday, FC Metz and Kappa officially launched the club's new home kit for the 2026-2027 season. This striking new release takes a fresh artistic direction, created in collaboration with designer Sébastien Abdelhamid Godelu following their successful partnership on the 24-25 third kit.

The new Kappa FC Metz 26-27 home kit introduces a bold look that serves as a wearable monument to the city's heritage. It features the club's classic deep garnet red base, beautifully contrasted by striking golden yellow raglan sleeves.
This specific golden yellow hue is directly inspired by *pierre de Jaumont***** (Jaumont stone), the iconic local limestone used to construct famous regional landmarks like the Saint-Étienne Cathedral and the Musée de La Cour d'Or.
The golden yellow details extend to the classic polo collar and the sleeve cuffs, both of which are finished with crisp white piping.
To celebrate the collaboration, a discreet "FC Metz x Sébastien Abdelhamid" signature is printed in gold on the upper back of the jersey.

The new Kappa Metz 2026-27 home kit is officially available to purchase starting July 16.

Emiliano Martinez Takes Chelsea's Number 1 Shirt
Emi Martinez has officially switched from No. 26 to No. 1 at Chelsea after just one match. The Argentine goalkeeper wore No. 26 in Chelsea's 4-3 win over Brighton.
With Robert Sanchez joining Como on loan, the No. 1 shirt became available, allowing Martínez to make the switch. Chelsea is now the third professional club where Martinez has worn No. 1, following Getafe and Aston Villa.
In a nice gesture to supporters who had already purchased his previous shirt, Martinez will sign all official “Martinez 26” jerseys bought through Chelsea's Megastore or official website. Fans can bring their shirt and proof of purchase to Stamford Bridge before October 4.
Japan U20 Debuts All-White Away Kit Variant
The all-white variation of Japan's away kit made its official debut during Japan U20's dominant 8-0 victory over Cambodia U20 in the U20 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
Previously, Japan premiered the original ensemble (black shorts and white socks) in a friendly match against Scotland, followed by an all-black shorts and socks variant during their 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 clash with Brazil.
Leicester City 26-27 Away Retro Collection Released
Expanding on their retro-inspired aesthetic for the season, Leicester City and Adidas have officially dropped a new lifestyle apparel collection under the Adidas Originals banner. Following the popular launch of their Trefoil away shirt earlier this summer, the latest range focuses on timeless club heritage infused with classic Three Stripes street style.
The standout piece of the collection is a royal blue long-sleeve jersey adorned with an intricate all-over diagonal jacquard pattern. Much like the 26-27 away kit, the piece prominently features the iconic Adidas Trefoil alongside Leicester's nostalgic 'Running Fox' crest, which famously adorned the club's shirts until 1992. Matching royal blue three stripes run down the shoulders and sleeves to complete the vintage look.
Alongside the long-sleeve shirt, the collection includes an archival blue t-shirt with a bold white chest stripe, classic track jackets, hoodies, and matching track pants.
