Kylian Mbappé has sent shockwaves through the boot world following his official departure from Nike to join Swiss brand On. Marking the historic switch, the Real Madrid superstar has already been revealed wearing his all-new On football boots in promotional footage and gameplay for EA Sports FC 27.
Serving as the cover star for the game, Mbappé gives fans an early preview of On's ambitious entry into football footwear. The in-game renders show off a clean, predominantly white prototype cleat featuring the Swiss brand's signature logo boldly displayed across the upper. The boots are built around On's proprietary LightSpray technology, a seamless and ultra-lightweight manufacturing process developed in tandem with Mbappé and the brand's newly appointed Director of Football, Thierry Henry.
While the commercial retail release of On's debut football boot collection is slated for 2027, the boots will be featured directly in EA Sports FC 27 around launch. On the pitch, the French forward is expected to give the boots their live competitive debut for Real Madrid in the coming weeks of the 26-27 campaign.
