The design serves as a direct tribute to Paderborn's reputation as the "Pfauenstadt" (Peacock City), complete with a peacock graphic and the "Pfauenstadt" slogan featured on the inner neck lining. Main shirt sponsor C. Hedenkamp has also adapted its chest logo to complement the shirt's color scheme.
