This picture shows the brand-new Adidas Argentum Gambeta Derbi official match ball.
Following the launch of the standard Argentum Gambeta earlier in the year, which commemorated the 40th anniversary of Argentina's 1986 World Cup triumph, the new Adidas Argentum Gambeta Derbi ball arrives with an elevated aesthetic tailored for the country's most intense rivalries and showpiece occasions.
The new Derbi edition reinterprets the iconic Adidas Tango triad pattern with rich black-and-silver filigree detailing, complemented by light blue (albiceleste) laurel leaves that wind dynamically around the panels.
Running along the borders of the Tango triads is the famed lyric from the Argentine national anthem, "Sean eternos los laureles que supimos conseguir" ("May the laurels we won be eternal").
The ball also features a vintage-inspired AFA crest surrounded by a laurel wreath, while a bespoke round seal highlights the revered number 10 alongside official match ball insignia.
Unlike the regular league ball, the Argentum Gambeta Derbi will not be used every week. Instead, Adidas and the Argentine Football Association will reserve it exclusively for marquee encounters, derbies, and crucial final stages throughout the season. The ball is already available for purchase through Adidas Argentina.
