Adidas' "Legacy Burgundy" is a wine red shade that the brand has previously utilized across select footwear, lifestyle ranges, and bespoke training apparel. The use of this tone marks a departure from HSV's more frequent royal blue away offerings of recent seasons.
In keeping with Adidas' streamlined design direction for their 27-28 away shirts, the Hamburger SV 2027-28 away jersey will feature the Trefoil logo.
While Hamburger SV is traditionally nicknamed Die Rothosen thanks to their iconic red shorts, deep red and maroon tones are no strangers to the club's history, having surfaced across past third and alternate kits. Official secondary accent colors for the shirt have not yet surfaced, though the rich burgundy base pairs naturally with clean white, cream, or HSV's classic black and blue elements.
The Adidas Hamburg 27-28 away shirt is scheduled to hit shelves in July or August 2027 ahead of the 2027-28 season.
