How the Updated Benfica Crest Looks on Kits

As seen in the mockups, the updated crest does not disrupt Benfica's traditional kit aesthetic at all. The alterations remain understated and respectful of the club's identity, faithfully reflecting the revised statutes approved by the club's general assembly.

The most notable revision on the badge involves the iconic golden eagle, whose talons now firmly grasp the green and red ribbon displaying the Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM", rather than resting slightly above it.

In addition, the bicycle wheel rim, spokes, and the vintage laced football have transitioned from silver-white to a warm golden yellow, while the central shield shape is marginally flatter.

When transferred onto the chest of a kit, these adjustments give the badge a slightly richer and warmer tone thanks to the unified golden elements across the eagle, wheel, and ball. From a regular viewing distance or during a match broadcast, the changes will be virtually imperceptible to the casual eye, avoiding any disruptive rebranding shock.

The updated crest is scheduled to make its real-world debut on new member cards starting in November 2026, before being gradually phased into club facilities, official branding, and future team kits.
