Adidas to Replace Nike After 2026 World Cup
Turkish sports journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has revealed that the Turkish Football Federation has reached an agreement with Adidas to become the new official kit supplier for the national team. Adidas will replace Nike, bringing an end to a partnership that has lasted for over two decades.
The transition is set to take place following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup. An official announcement from both the federation and the brand is reportedly being delayed until the current Nike contract officially expires. Despite the wait for public confirmation, Adidas has already started the design process for the inaugural Turkey 26-27 kits.
This upcoming switch marks a return to a familiar brand for the Turkish national team. Adidas previously manufactured Turkey's kits from 1983 until 2002, a successful era that culminated in their historic third-place finish at the 2002 World Cup. Nike took over the contract in 2003 and has outfitted the team ever since.
Turkey's move to Adidas is part of a broader wave of national team kit supplier changes expected after the End of the 2026 tournament. Adidas is actively expanding its international portfolio and is also set to take over the contracts for Croatia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, helping to offset the high-profile loss of the German national team to Nike in 2027.
