Nike has launched a guerrilla marketing campaign in New York and New Jersey to tease the first-ever Nike Germany kit.
Pixelated Look at the Nike Germany 2027 Home Kit
As the 2026 World Cup approaches its conclusion, a boat sailed down the Hudson River carrying a massive billboard with the slogan "Hello New Jersey." The display features a pixelated image of Jamal Musiala wearing what could be the upcoming Nike Germany 2027 home kit, cleverly playing on the double meaning of the location and a new football shirt.
Mario Götze also posted an image
Despite the pixelation, key details of the new uniform are already visible. The shirt features a classic white base complemented by a prominent, thick black collar. Alongside the iconic Nike Swoosh and the DFB eagle on the chest, the overall aesthetic heavily seams to draw inspiration from Germany's 1974 World Cup-winning kit.
It remains to be seen if the pixelated shirt worn by Musiala is the actual DFB 2027 jersey by Nike. Contract clauses prevent Nike from already teasing the kit that early, so they used this guerrilla tactic to market it. If the actual shirt is being worn, they could face legal trouble.
Musiala wore a makeshift white and black kit in Nike's huge 2026 World Cup ad - the shirt is, however, different from the pixelated one.
The highly anticipated switch from Adidas to Nike will officially take place on January 1, 2027. This landmark €100 million-per-year deal marks the end of a historic 77-year partnership with Adidas, making the current tournament the final time the German national team will wear the three stripes.
