Update - Friday, October 9, 2026: We have come down to three. Bayern, El Nacional and Bournemouth battle it out for the Worst Football Kit of September 2026 via our vote on X.
September brought a wave of third kit reveals, cup editions, and one-off special jerseys across both club and international football. Several releases drew heavy criticism. We have narrowed the shortlist down to 20 nominees for the worst football kit of September 2026.
Worst Kit of September 2026 - The Nominees
High-profile European clubs headline the list, including Bayern Munich with their divisive, multicolored floral 26-27 Oktoberfest kit and AFC Bournemouth's bold 26-27 Europa League home strip.
Among the contenders is also El Nacional's 2026 special commemorative shirt by Lotto, which turned heads on social media for its overload of dozens of commercial sponsor logos across the front and sleeves. The reason, however, is a good one. The club sold sponsorship places to local sponsors to secure the club.
The shortlist is rounded out by national team jerseys from Belarus, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Russia, and Slovakia. Make sure to cast your vote on Kit Creator before the poll closes in three days.
