The new Adidas AS Roma 27-28 shirts celebrate 100 years of the club, paying tribute to the three Roman football clubs whose merger created AS Roma in the spring of 1927: Alba-Audace, Fortitudo-Pro Roma, and Foot Ball Club di Roma (commonly known as Roman). According to newspaper archives of the era, the monumental agreement to merge the three outfits was finalized in the late afternoon of June 7, 1927.
This unification merged the cultures, colors, and fan bases of the capital, giving rise to the club's original 1927-1934 crest featuring the iconic Capitoline Wolf alongside the classic intertwined ASR monogram.
