Burnley FC 2014 Special Centenary Kit Released

The new Burnley FC 2014 Centenary Kit was released yesterday to celebrate the famous victory in the 1914 FA Cup against Liverpool. The new Burnley 2014 100 years anniversary kit without the Puma branding, while the shirt comes with the usual sponsor logo of Premier Range. The sponsor logo disrupt the iconic design of the shirt.

Burnley secured the promotion to the Premier League last weekend with a 2-0 victory against Wigan Athletic.

This is the new special Burnley FC 2014 Kit.

The new claret Burnley 2014 Centenary Home Kit features a design inspired by the kit worn 100 years ago. The usual club badge was replaced with the Royal Coat of Arms. The kit collar and the sleeve cuffs are the same as 100 years ago.

On April 25, 1914, the Clarets won the world’s most prestigious cup competition after defeating Liverpool 1-0 at the Crystal Palace Grounds, courtesy of Bert Freeman’s goal. Almost exactly 100 years after the FA Cup triumph, Burnley will wear the Burnley 2014 Shirt kit will be worn in the Championship match against Ipswich.

The names of the 1914 club manager are also commemorated on the shirt in a special panel on the right bottom of the shirt. Due to the use of the Royal Coat of Arms, the Burnley 2014 will not go on general sale to the public. Therefore, the club will host a unique auction for each shirt.
