Footy Headlines Launches Football Boots DB
Today, Footy Headlines launches FootballBootsDB.com, the first website fully dedicated to football boots. Football Boots DB features a fully accurate database of the 2014 World Cup teams as well as of the teams from the European top-5 leagues.
The first complete football boots database includes up-to-date data about more than 3,000 players; from the cutting-edge Nike Magista to the iconic Adidas Copa Mundial - it has all the boots currently used by the game's top players!
The data collected by Football Boots DB reveals very interesting statistics like that more than half of the players competing in the 2014 World Cup are wearing Nike boots (Adidas is 2nd with 36%). It also shows surprising boot choices made by the top players, like Drogba or Hazard opting for the Mercurial Vapor X instead of high-end Superfly IV.
Available on all devices
Football Boots DB is accessible on all devices and allows you to not only view detailed statistics of football boots and brands for the World Cup, the leagues and the teams, but also has all info about more than 50 of the latest football boot released by more than 15 brands.
You can even make own football boot research searches using different criteria selections. Did you know that around 95% of the U25 players of the 2014 World Cup are wearing Adidas (36.7%) or Nike (57.2%) boots?
Another top feature of Football Boots DB are 'boot lineups', which are available for all teams on the site, giving a quick overview about the boot distribution in the first XI of the team.
While some teams like Japan show a nice variety in the boot brands and models, there are other teams in whose lineups we may find only or almost only boots by one brand. Ghana could well field a Nike-only starting XI against the USA in Brazil.

Aston Villa 26-27 Third Kit On Sale Early in Adidas Store
Aston Villa's 26-27 third kit has gone on sale early at an official Adidas store in Tenerife ahead of its official launch.
Photos shared by supporter @squirrelvilla confirmed that the complete strip was available to buy in Playa De Las Americas, giving fans an early look at the new shirt and matching shorts in hand.
The Adidas Aston Villa 26-27 third shirt features a light icy blue base covered in an elaborate, repeating swirl pattern across the front and sleeves. Claret detailing highlights the crew neck collar, sleeve cuffs, and signature Three Stripes, while both the centered Adidas logo and Aston Villa crest sit prominently on the chest. The version bought in store was sold without a main front sponsor.
