Wolfsburg Honor Junior Malanda with Special DFB-Pokal Final Shirt

Class. VfL Wolfsburg will wear the new Wolfsburg 15-16 Jersey with a special heart-shaped logo to honor former player Junior Malanda, who died in a car crash this January.

VfL Wolfsburg earlier today unveiled the new Wolfsburg 15-16 Home Shirt. Introducing a new green and blue chevron design, the new Wolfsburg 2015-2016 Kit is set to debut in the German cup final against Borussia Dortmund this Saturday.

Based on the new Wolfsburg 2015-16 Home Kit by Kappa, the Wolfsburg 2015 DFB-Pokal Final Kit features the official logo of the final, which can also be seen on Borussia Dortmund's shirt for the match.

Wolfsburg additionally added a green heart on the upper left side, with the number 19 printed inside. The number 19 shirt belonged to Junior Malanda, who died in a car crash last winter.

"The heart stands for Junior Malanda. We often said that we also played for him in the last few months, which is especially true for the cup final. We want to point this out once again with this action," said manager Klaus Allofs.
