Brazil Dons 2014 Kit in Copa America Opener

The Brazil national team has ended all speculation about a possible surprise Brazil 2015 Copa America Kit launch, entering the field in last year's Brazil 2014 World Cup Kit in today's Copa America match against Peru.

Brazil Wears 2014 World Cup Kits at 2015 Copa America

Brazil continues to play in the 2014 World Cup Kits in the 2015 Copa America in Chile.

Despite wearing the new training and pre-match gear since March and effectively launching the new Brazil 2015 Copa America Kits at the Women's World Cup, the Brazil national appears to play in the Brazil 2014 Home and Away Kits at this year's Copa America.

Brazil and Nike's initial plan was to release a total of three new Brazil kits for Copa America: a traditional yellow Brazil Home Kit, a blue Away Kit and a black Brazil Third Kit. Although the first two were already debuted by the Brazil Women's national team, Nike did not officially release them, and it remains unclear when the men's national team will switch to them.

Speculation on Brazilian sites suggested that the scrapped Brazil 2015 Kit launch was due to the corruption scandal surrounding the Brazilian federation and its kit supplier Nike. It was additionally reported that Brazil could launch two different sets of Brazil Kits in 2016, one for the regular matches and the Copa America Centenario and another one for the Olympics in Rio.
