Closer Look | Neymar's Completely Custom Blackout Nike Boots
We have waited for better pictures, and FC Barcelona's club photographer Miguel Ruiz did not disappoint us. FC Barcelona striker Neymar again laced up in his mystery black-out Nike Football Boots in Barça's training session on August 3, and we finally got a closer look at his one-of-a-kind "Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2" boots.
It caused quite a storm of publicity when we reported that Neymar trained in mystery blacked-out soccer cleats. While the first pictures didn't allow us to reach definite conclusions, we are now quite sure what Neymar was wearing. So let's get into the details.
Neymar's Unique Blackout Nike Cleats
Close-up pictures of Neymar's custom Nike 2015-2015-2016 Football Boots.
The one-of-a-kind Nike Neymar Boots boasts a honeycomb NikeSkin upper structure, which is almost identical to the upper material used for the first-generation of the popular Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots. The outstep features a smoother upper design as Neymar logically needs the enhanced ball control first and foremost on the instep and the forefoot area of his cleats.
Secondly, the custom blackout Nike Hypervenom Neymar 2015-2016 Boots feature a completely unique shape with an enlarged area on the tongue and heel area without NikeSkin.
It's obvious that the completely modified Neymar Cleats feature a lower Dynamic Fit collar than the regular version of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2, and his beloved sole plate of the Nike Tiempo Legend IV Boots.
We expect that Neymar will soon receive a camouflaged version mirroring the design of Green Strike Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Soccer Cleats with Neymar's unique boots to meet both parties needs'. Neymar needs a perfect boot, and Nike needs Neymar wearing the latest bold colorway with the famous Dynamic Fit collar.
It's still much too early for the third generation of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots. The Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 Cleats will not be released until mid-2017, so it's obvious that Neymar wears a custom boot.
One-of-a-kind. We will watch out for Neymar's completely unique boots in FC Barcelona's next training session. It will be interesting.
