Isco Cuts Off Dynamic Fit Collar of Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots
Is this really a surprise? Real Madrid midfielder Isco laced up in modified Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Cleats for the first time in today's Real Madrid training session, after he had worn famously non-modified Nike Hypervenom Phantom II Boots at the start of the pre-season.
The Whites continued their pre-season preparations after they completed their tour of Australia and China on Friday, and are now focused on their Audi Cup debut against Tottenham in the Allianz Arena on August 4.
Isco set to debut low-cut Nike Hypervenom Phantom Cleats
Close-up picture of Isco's Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots.
The close-up pictures reveal that Isco is wearing a modified version of the striking orange Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 2015-2016 Boots, which were released in mid-July 2015. While the upper and the sole plate show no visible modification, Isco cut-off the trademark Dynamic Fit collar of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Lightning Storm Pack Boots.
Even though the first pictures lack a closer look at the outsole, it's definitely not just a regular Nike Hypervenom Phinish Boot. Isco's Boots feature a striking black graphic pattern on the sole plate, which is an exclusive feature of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Soccer Cleats.
During Real Madrid's first pre-season friendlies in Australia and China, Isco laced up in the regular Wolf Grey Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots with a tape hiding the iconic Dynamic Fit collar. However, he wore a non-taped version of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots in training sessions.
He didn't like the Dynamic Fit collar, so he cut it off. What do you think of Isco's decision to cut-off the collar? Let us know in the comments below, and watch out for Isco's Boots in tomorrow's friendly against Tottenham.

South Africa Debut Silver Adidas Climacool Cooling Jacket At 2026 World Cup
South Africa debuted the new Adidas Climacool cooling jacket in a striking silver colorway at the 2026 World Cup. The look evoked memories of spacesuits.
The Adidas Climacool system is engineered specifically to lower core body temperature and improve heat tolerance in hot and humid conditions - exactly the kind of environment teams face at a summer World Cup in the USA and Mexico. The system consists of three components: a cooling vest, jacket and overshoe, with the vest worn over the player's jersey containing a specialised gel that is frozen before use and slowly thaws to keep players cool as they prepare to take the pitch.
FIFA Orders Egypt to Remove 7 Stars From 2026 World Cup Kit And Change Numbers Color
FIFA has instructed the Egyptian Football Association to remove the seven stars from their 2026 World Cup kit. The stars, which represent Egypt's record seven Africa Cup of Nations victories, violate FIFA's strict equipment regulations for the tournament. Under these rules, stars displayed on national team jerseys at the World Cup are exclusively reserved for nations that have won the FIFA World Cup.
In addition to the removal of the stars, FIFA has directed Egypt to change the color of the player names and numbers on their shirts. The original design featured gold lettering, which FIFA deemed insufficient for broadcast visibility, requiring the team to switch to white text instead.
