PSV Eindhoven 15-16 Font Revealed
- New Kit Manufacturer & Font: PSV Eindhoven switched from Nike to Umbro after 20 years, requiring a new font designed specifically for their kits.
- Font Design: The new font, created by Newminds, is based on the PSV Eindhoven crest flag and features triangular cutouts.
- Font Usage: The font is black with a gold outline on the home kit and white with a red outline on the away kit, with the PSV crest at the bottom of the numbers.
All new for the Dutch champions. As PSV enter a new era by joining Umbro after more than 20 years with Nike, a new typeface was created exclusively for the club's new home and away kits.
PSV Eindhoven 15-16 Font
The sleek new PSV 2015-2016 typeface as seen on the shirts of Guardado and Isimat.
Designed by Dutch studio Newminds, the new font used for player names and numbers on the Umbro PSV 15-16 kits is conceptually based on the distinctive flag from the PSV Eindhoven crest.
Used in black with a gold outline on the classic red and white striped PSV home shirt and in white with a red border on the away jersey, the PSV crest is planted at the bottom of the numbers.
PSV Eindhoven's straightforward brand of attacking football is reflected in a font that oozes modernity and simplicity, with striking triangular cutouts adding a level of uniqueness.
