Citroen Ends Celta Vigo Sponsorship after 31 Years

French car maker Citroen will not appear on the front of the 2016-17 jerseys of La Liga team Celta Vigo, leaving the Galician club after a long-term sponsorship of 31 years.

The 15-16 Celta Vigo kits will be the last to bear the Citroen logo (for now).

According to reports in Spain, the club and Citroen, who operates its largest plant outside in Vigo, will meet to determine how to continue working together in other ways. An official announcement is set to be communicated shortly.
