Purple Nike Mercurial Superfly V 2016-17 Boots Released
Nike today followed up the first three paint jobs of its new Mercurial Superfly V football boots with a predominantly purple effort that forms part of the new Floodlights Pack. Officially dubbed 'Purple Dynasty', the Floodlights Pack Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 cleats feature orange trim and will be available to buy from October 3, 2016.
Nike Mercurial Superfly V - Purple Dynasty / Hyper Grape / Orange
This image shows the striking purple Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 boots for the 2016-2017 season from the Floodlights Pack soccer boot collection.
Predominantly purple, the September 2016 Nike Mercurial Superfly V soccer cleats combine this with orange trim. The secondary color is used for all brandings on the Purple Dynasty Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 football boots, as well as for detailing on the new Mercurial's trademark 'speed-rib' 3D texture.
Additionally, this new Nike Mercurial Superfly cleat features a subtle gradient from the relatively dark Purple Dynasty at the back towards the more dynamic Hyper Grape at the front. The inside of the upcoming Nike Mercurial Superfly V colorway features a darker shade of purple at the front, too.
Like their predecessor, the Floodlights Pack Nike Mercurial Superfly soccer cleats aim to provide a sock-like fit with a knitted upper and heightened Dynamic Fit collar. The aforementioned speed-rib texture is worked into the Flyknit upper of the Purple Dynasty Nike Mercurial Superfly V 2016-2017 football shoes to improve ball control and touch in critical areas.
Additionally, the sole plate of the Nike Mercurial Superfly V boots has been completely reworked; it even is 40% lighter thanks to the use of Nylon instead of carbon-fiber. The stud configuration is also new on the Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 boot: all studs have the same triangular shape but are rotated differently. Available from October 3, 2016, the purple Nike Mercurial Superfly V football boots retail at €290 ($300, £240).

FC Cartagena 26-27 Away Kit Released
Spanish side FC Cartagena and Macron have officially launched their new away kit for the 26-27 season, paying homage to the city's rich three-thousand-year heritage. Draped in traditional carmesí red, the jersey is decorated with an intricate all-over graphic pattern inspired by an ancient Roman mosaic uncovered in the crypt beneath the Catedral de Santa María la Vieja. Elegant gold detailing highlights the monochrome crest, collar trim, sleeve cuffs, and sponsor emblems, completed by the Latin motto Carthago Nova Invicta Est subtly sublimated onto the lower hem.
Nike to Sell Long-Sleeve Besiktas Kits From 27-28 Season
Nike is set to introduce commercially available long-sleeve kits for Beşiktaş starting from the 27-28 season. Following the club's major switch from Adidas after 17 years, supporters will finally have direct access to official long-sleeve match jerseys at retail. Big thanks to @ertansuzgun & @Formaholic.
The timing aligns with significant milestone celebrations in Istanbul, as Nike is also planning a special 125th-anniversary collection for Beşiktaş during the 27-28 campaign to mark the club's foundation in 1903. Rather than relying on base layers and compression undershirts, players and fans alike will see dedicated long-sleeve designs included in the lineup.
The development forms part of Nike's wider strategy to bring back commercial long-sleeve authentic shirts across its elite roster from 27-28 onwards. By expanding long-sleeve availability to Beşiktaş, Nike closes the gap on rivals like Adidas and provides the Black Eagles with full top-tier treatment under their new partnership.
