A Look Back at Every Cristiano Ronaldo Portugal Home Kit

  • Ronaldo's Jersey Number Evolution: Cristiano Ronaldo debuted for Portugal in 2003 wearing number 11, then switched to 17 before taking the iconic number 7 shirt after Luís Figo's retirement ahead of Euro 2008, establishing a famous brand identity.
  • Key Kit Milestones and Design Changes: Nike consistently evolved Portugal's kit designs and colors, with the dual-tone red Nike Vapor Aeroswift design from Euro 2016 being particularly iconic as Ronaldo captained the team to their first major international trophy in that jersey.
  • Sponsorship Transition and Future Kit: Nike's 27-year partnership with Portugal ended in 2024, with Puma taking over from 2025 and introducing a new design identity for kits, including the 2026 home kit which pays homage to Portugal's maritime heritage, as Ronaldo's international career nears its conclusion.

Spanning more than two decades, five European Championships, and multiple World Cups, Cristiano Ronaldo's international career is one of the most decorated and enduring in football history. A visual look back showcases the evolution of every Portugal home kit worn by the forward since his senior international debut in 2003 up through the 2026 World Cup cycle.

Every Cristiano Ronaldo Portugal Home Kit: 2002-2026

Ronaldo made his senior Portugal debut in August 2003 against Kazakhstan wearing the 2002-04 Nike home shirt and sporting number 11.

By the time Euro 2004 rolled around on home soil, he wore number 17, retaining that squad number through the 2006 World Cup in Germany while legendary winger Luís Figo donned the captain's armband and the famous number 7.

Following Figo's retirement from international football, Ronaldo took full ownership of the number 7 shirt ahead of Euro 2008, forging one of the most commercially successful jersey identities of all time.

Across the late 2000s and 2010s, Nike shifted Portugal's color palette between deep garnet shades and vibrant primary reds, occasionally experimenting with bold details like the horizontal gradient hoops of the 2014 World Cup kit.

Undoubtedly the pinnacle moment of his international kit wardrobe came at Euro 2016 in France. Wearing the dual-tone red Nike Vapor Aeroswift design, Ronaldo captained Portugal to their historic first-ever major international silverware, forever enshrining that jersey in modern football lore.

Subsequent years saw further stylistic experiments, including the distinctive diagonal green split introduced for the 2022 World Cup. The 2024 tournament marked the end of an era as Nike concluded its 27-year partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation.

Puma took over the technical reins starting in 2025, providing Ronaldo with a new design identity culminating in the 2026 home kit, which incorporates subtle wave-inspired debossed motifs paying homage to Portugal's storied maritime heritage.

A journey is coming to an end, and that day seems to be getting very close. Soon, we may no longer get to see the iconic No. 7 - Ronaldo, wearing the Portugal shirt.

The launch completes the kit rollouts for all 13 clubs ahead of the league's kickoff on October 16. The release also marks the debut of Oz Shipping Containers as the men's team's new principal front-of-shirt partner.

Chesterfield FC 26-27 Home and Away Kits Released

Chesterfield FC and technical sponsor Puma have introduced the club's new home and away kits for the 26-27 campaign. Commemorating the 160th anniversary of the club's founding in 1866, the designs incorporate celebratory elements and feature the logo of long-standing front-of-shirt sponsor Leengate Valves.

The Chesterfield 26-27 home shirt is rendered in the club's classic royal blue, accented by gold detailing across the Puma branding, front sponsor, and a special anniversary badge. Subtle pinstripe ribbing in blue and white decorates the sleeve cuffs and the button-up henley collar, while traditional white shorts and blue socks complete the first-choice look.

For the away kit, the Spireites step out in a predominantly black design distinguished by an offset vertical stripe in two tones of grey running directly through the crest. Metallic silver is used for all brand and partner markings, which is complemented by a stylized retro CFC monogram crest alongside matching black shorts and socks.
