England's Fraser Forster Shows Off Unique Taped Nike Magista Opus Boots

Update: Fraser Forster has switched to Nike's next-gen Magista Opus boot after he previously sported whiteout last-gen Magista boots. However, he this time just used black tape to hide Nike's brandings, while he in the meantime also switched to Under Armour goalkeeper gloves, making a switch to the Baltimore-based brand very likely.

What's the boot future of England goalkeeper Fraser Forster? The Southampton goalkeeper stood out in the match against Man City wearing unique custom whiteout Nike Magista Opus boots. Featuring the white and green look of the Nike Magista Opus 2016-17 Radiant Reveal Pack cleats, Forster's cleats are not usual.

This is the Nike Magista Opus boot worn by Fraser Forster on Sunday.

The Nike Magista Opus soccer boots worn by Fraser Forster are the same as the standard edition except that he painted over the black Swoosh in order to hide that he is wearing Nike cleats.

Fraser Forster, who wears Sells keeper gloves, was already spotted wearing these boots at the end of last season, and he was also spotted with the latest colorway of the Nike Magista and Nike Hypervenom recently. But what's even more interesting is that the Southampton goalkeeper was also pictured with Under Armour's Clutch Fit boot during the Euro 2016, suggesting a possible switch to the Baltimore-based brand that also sponsors his club.

Do you think that Fraser Forster will switch to Under Armour? Let us know in the comments below.

First Time in 12 Years: Juventus Bring Back Long-Sleeved Kits on Pitch

Making his Juventus debut in the match against AC Milan, Nick Woltemade was the only Juventus player on the pitch wearing long sleeves. Excluding special-edition kits, the German strike became the first Bianconeri player made this choice since Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio back in the 13-14 season.

Remarkably, even Cristiano Ronaldo, a long-sleeve icon, never wore one during his time in Turin.

Liverpool Could Use a Text-Only Turkish Airlines Sponsor?

Liverpool have announced that Turkish Airlines will become the club's new shirt sponsor from the 2027-28 season, ending the Reds' 17-year partnership with Standard Chartered.

While early fan concepts have used Turkish Airlines' familiar circular bird logo above the wordmark, a text-only sponsor could also be a realistic option.

The airline previously used a simplified two-line “TURKISH AIRLINES” wordmark on River Plate's shirts between 2019 and 2022, while Turkish clubs such as Galatasaray and Samsunspor have also used streamlined typographic versions of the branding.

A text-only layout could give Liverpool's future Adidas shirts a cleaner, less crowded look. The final sponsor application has yet to be confirmed, with the partnership set to begin in June 2027.
