Against The Red Bulls - 1. FC Köln To Wear Special Energy Drink Sponsor Kit Against RB Leipzig

German Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will wear a special shirt in Sunday's match against Red Bull-managed RB Leipzig (RB is short for RasenBallsport - It is not allowed in German football to have a 'sponsored' club name).

Köln to Advertise For Rivalry Energy Drink Against Red Bull-managed RB Leipzig

Here is the kit Koln will wear against Leipzig on Sunday.

Featuring the same design as the 1. FC Köln 16-17 home shirt, the special Cologne kit against Leipzig comes with the logo of energy drink Maximal G (Energy drink brand of REWE) instead of the logo of their main sponsor REWE.

"We in Cologne do not always take everything so seriously and we like to celebrate. Therefore we decided to change the logo for the game. Now we can challenge Red Bull as the cult drink with our new own brand Maximal G, and that in direct comparison", said Rewe CEO Lionel Souque.

DFL's rules allows club to change the sponsor logo on their kit twice a season - either if it's for a non-profit organization or an own brand of their sponsor.
