Nike Mercurial Superfly Cristiano Ronaldo Chapter 4 "Forged for Greatness" Boots Revealed

Nike this morning officially unveiled Chapter 4 ("Forged for Greatness") of its Mercurial Superfly signature series for Cristiano Ronaldo. Combining different shades of grey with a bold orange fade, the Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 Cristiano Ronaldo Chapter 4 cleats go on sale April 10th.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly V "Forged for Greatness" CR7 boots are inspired by Cristiano switching to shirt number 7 shortly after joining Manchester United. Ronaldo's previous number, 28, is present on the heel in Roman numerals.

The new Nike Cristiano Ronaldo signature boots are silver and orange.

Combining several shades of grey in the Nike Mercurial Superfly V's trademark upper construction, the Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 Chapter 4 boots introduce an eye-catching fade to an orange sole plate. Dark grey brandings, including a large Swoosh on the outside front, complete the unique design of the Chapter 4 Cristiano Ronaldo Nike Mercurial boots.

On the instep of the cleats is CR7's signature logo, while the sockliner of the Nike Mercurial Superfly V Cristiano Ronaldo Chapter 4 2017 football boots shows an interesting graphic that features the CR7 logo alongside the tools needed to forge iron. The writing "Forged to the exact specifications of Cristiano Ronaldo" surrounds the circle.

The grey and orange Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 CR7 Chapter 4 soccer boots draw inspiration from Ronaldo's rise to the top at Manchester United, after the previous chapters sketched his brining up until the all-important 2003 transfer to the English club. The colors of the Chapter Nike Mercurial Superfly Ronaldo 2017 cleats are inspired by the look of iron as it is being forged.

In particular, the switch from number 28 (at Sporting) to the iconic 7 at Manchester United, is the inspiration behind this design. “Alex Ferguson said to me: 'Listen, I want you to take number seven,'” recalls Ronaldo. “I was surprised because I knew the guys who had worn that shirt.”

Ronaldo is full of praise regarding his time at United. “In the five years that I was there, I learned the art of football. We won many things together. It was a dream for me,” he says.

In total, there will be seven boots detailing Cristiano Ronaldo's rise from his home island Madeira to one of the greatest footballers on this planet. There are no info about the Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 Cristiano Ronaldo boots yet, but expect them to be just as spectacular as the previous editions.

The Nike Mercurial Superfly V CR7 Chapter 4 "Forged for Greatness" cleats will go on sale on April 10th. They retail at a slightly higher price than regular editions of the model.
