Chapecoense Updates Crest to Honor Victims of Plane Crash
Brazilian club Chapecoense, hit by a horrible tragedy which saw most of its first team squad and staff die, has updated its crest to reflect those events.
New Chapecoense Crest - 2016
Subtly updating the existing logo, Chapecoense has added to stars two it - one, placed above the entire shape to reflect the Copa Sudamericana title that was awarded to the club after the tragedy, and another one that was added inside the F (which stands for Football) on the right side of the crest to honor the victims.
