Deportivo Alavés Announce Rioja Alavesa Kit Sponsor Deal

Deportivo Alavés this week announced that local wine region Rioja Alavesa will be their new kit sponsor for at least this season after they previously wore a sponsorless kit. The new agreement was announced on 24th January, during the second leg of Deportivo’s Copa del Rey quarter-final against Alcorcón. Deportivo progressed to the Copa del Rey semi finals with a 2-0 aggregate victory.

The partnership is part of an agreement between Deportivo Alaves and the Álava provincial council. The Rioja Alavesa branding will appear on the club's shirt for La Liga and Copa del Rey matches.

Neither the financial details, nor the duration of the partnership have been confirmed.

Ramiro González, Álava’s deputy general, expressed satisfaction over the global exposure that Deportivo Alavés' cup run would bring the local region.
