Kappa has been Gladbach's kit supplier for several years.

Borussia Mönchengladbach's Puma kit deal is valid from the 2018-19 season for at least six years.

"The contract with PUMA is not only of strong emotional significance for us, but is also a landmark step into the future," said Borussia chief executive Stephan Schippers.

"As a world-renowned and popular sports brand, PUMA has a great level of expertise in the development of functional team sport collections and in the distribution of licensed products. We look forward to great joint campaigns, starting in the 2018/19 season. At the same time, we would also like to thank our current supplier Kappa for a very cooperative and successful partnership, from which we expect much more in the 2017/18 season."

It is reported that Gladbach's deal with Puma could be worth up to 100 million Euro for ten seasons, including bonuses.

"We are pleased that we were able to bolster our portfolio by adding one of the most traditional and successful clubs in the German Bundesliga," said Matthias Bäumer, Area General Manager at PUMA DACH.

"Our partnership with Borussia Mönchengladbach will not only strengthen our position as one of the leading football brands in Germany. It will also help us to expand our teamsport business with our trade partners. PUMA and Borussia Mönchengladbach: this partnership stands for years of success and is a story that we will continue in a creative and passionate way."

Puma already makes the kits for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and famous club VfB Stuttgart. However, the German brand will not renew their deal with 2. Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf.
