Manchester City To Sign Under Armour Kit Deal?
Under Armour is in "pole position" to become Manchester City's new kit supplier, according to a report of Daily Mail’s Charles Sale. Manchester City's deal with Nike ends after the end of the 2017-18 season.
Baltimore-based brand Under Armour currently makes Tottenham's kits but will be replaced by Nike after this season. Under Armour will only make kits for one Premier League team next season, Southampton.
Under Armour In Pole Position to Become New Man City Kit Maker
Manchester City's 2017-18 jerseys could be the last made by Nike.
The Daily Mail reports that Under Armour is "keen to add another top English club to their portfolio". The newspaper did not reveal any more details about the possible Under Armour Manchester City sponsorship deal.
The Nike Manchester City 2017-18 kits have been already leaked, with the home and away shirt expected to be released in the coming weeks. The new Man City 2017-18 third kit, which is the last-ever Man City kit by Nike as part of the current deal, will be launched in September 2017.
Manchester City's current Nike deal is worth £20m a year, which is much less than what other teams get (Barcelona earn £100m a year, Chelsea will make £60m from Nike a year, Manchester United earn £75m a year).
