This week, Newcastle United released their new kit for the 2017-18 Premier League season. The new Puma Newcastle United 2017-18 kit was an instant hit amongst supporters, and now the club announced that the new kit will feature red names and numbers for the first time since the 1992-93 season to make it even better for kit fans.
Newcastle United 2017-18 Home Kit To Feature Red Names and Numbers
Is is the first time since 25 years that Newcastle's new home jersey features contrasting red numbers.
Despite being used so frequently throughout the club's history, red numbers haven't been seen on a Newcastle home shirt since the 1992-93 campaign. However, this year the club decided to return to contrasting red names and numbers for the home strip.
Logically, Newcastle's new font for the 2017-18 season is the same as the typeface of all other Premier League teams. The new Premier League 2017-18 kit font features a clean design and is available in five different colorways.
