Barcelona 17-18 Away Kit Font Revealed

With the Barcelona 17-18 away kit officially going on sale today, we were granted a first look at how the new font looks like on the back for player names and numbers.

Starting this season, all 20 teams in La Liga will use the same typeface for the lettering on the back and so far the reaction, especially with Barcelona's home shirt, has been rather underwhelming.

It's better with the away. Thanks to the secondary color being the same as the shirt, creating a neat cutout effect, the font has a more airy and thin appearance. Nevertheless, the curve on the player names is rather unnecessary still.

Interestingly, despite the Unicef sponsor on the lower back being colored red, the font is kept in the same blue tone as the Nike logo on the front. Ties it in with the rest of the kit in a way.
