Adidas & Nike Dominate Spain National Football Team
four days announced their 26-man squad for the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers matches against Italy and Israel. While Diego Costa has been omitted from the squad following his troubles at Chelsea, David Villa, who is currently playing for New York City FC, received his first call-up since the 2014 World Cup. We take a look at the soccer cleats and brands of Spain's football team.
Nike Supplies Boots For Half Of Spain's Players
While Adidas makes the kits for La Furia Roja, Nike managed to sign more players of the Spain soccer team (13 compared to Adidas' 11), while Puma has just two players under contract as Bellerin & Fabregas were not nominated.
Nike is not only supplying the cleats for half of all players, the Swoosh also has the most players of Spain's possible Stating XI under contract. In fact, it is likely that there are only Adidas & Nike boots visible on Spain's side when they face Italy on September 2.
