Technically speaking, the Frenchman took the black, white and red Nike Mercurial Vapor XI 2017-18 football boots from the Pitch Dark pack and painted over the white Swooshes as well as all other Nike brandings.
Last season, Mendy laced up in branded Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 soccer cleats and he also was one of the players sponsored by Nike who received a custom red boot celebrating AS Monaco's Ligue 1 title. The fact that he is wearing blackout boots make it likely that he will either leave the Swoosh / want a new boot contract.
Interestingly, Benjamin Mendy laced up in unique custom blacked-out Nike Mercurial Superfly V 'Bright Mango' boots 18 months ago.
