Next-Gen Adidas Copa 18 Debut Boot Released
A gentle update on the current style, the Adidas Copa 2018 cleats were finally launched today, 29 November 2017, in a sleek white, black and gold colorway that fits in nicely with the rest of Adidas' Skystalker pack.

Adidas Copa 18.1 - White / Black / Tactile Gold Metallic
This is the next-gen Adidas Copa 18 soccer boot debut colorway from the Skystalker collection.
Part of Adidas' gold-heavy December 2017 Skystalker collection, the Copa 18.1 debut paint job is predominantly white with black trim, multicolor Primeknit in the rear and a bit of gold, both to round it off in a classy way and to connect it with the rest of the pack.
Tech-wise, the Adidas Copa 18 boots are eerily similar to their predecessor, both in shape and also in the materials that are used. They combine leather in the front with synthetic materials in the rear.
However, where the Copa 17 combined three different types of upper materials (kangaroo leather, synthetic leather, techfit tongue), the Copa 18 cleats use just two - the entire rear of the model, including the tongue, is made of Primeknit, a bit like on Nike's Tiempo Legend VII. The Primeknit collar is shaped like on the Ace 17 leather in the rear, while the trademark tongue shape of the Copa 17 is retained in the front.
With the leather part, a key change is the removal of the stitching in favor of an internal skeleton-like structure, something that a lot of brands, including Adidas itself on other shoes, did in the last few years. The mold of the sole plate is not changed in any way, with the only difference here being a new graphic print on the plate.
Adidas Copa 18.1 - Features
- Premium K-leather upper
- Internal skeleton replaces forefoot stitching
- Primeknit tongue and heel
- OrthoLite® sockliner
- Foam areas in sockliner and heel lining
- Sprintframe outsole
Pricing looks to stay the same, with the Adidas Copa 18 boots retailing at USD 200 (EUR 200, GBP 170). The white, black and gold Adidas Copa 18 soccer boot debut colorway is already available to buy as part of the Skystalker pack.
In terms of player support, there's nothing to suggest that pros will start wearing the Adidas Copa 18 cleats. Adidas' best signed players will continue to sport Ace / Predator, Nemeziz and X.
A clean colorway a bit of a Tiempo inspiration perhaps - what are your thoughts on the Adidas Copa 18? Drop us a line below, and check out the Boot Calendar for more.

Adidas Originals 'Fenerbahçe' Spezial Shoes
Adidas and Fenerbahçe are preparing a collaboration edition of the Originals Spezial sneakers. Social media reports indicate that the upper heel panel is expected to feature the club's 120th anniversary logo in yellow and blue tones.
This follows an earlier leak from May showing a potential Spezial model linked to the club. Fenerbahçe, founded in 1907, marks its 120th year with celebrations anticipated around the 2026-27 season, aligning with ongoing kit collaborations.

Spider-Man Inspired Barcelona Concept Kit
DSM AI Studio has shared a concept kit design for FC Barcelona inspired by Spider-Man. The design incorporates elements of the superhero's classic red and blue suit into a football jersey format for the Catalan club.
The concept features the blaugrana colors reimagined with a thematic twist. It has received comments from fans showing interest in the creative crossover.
The design remains a fan-made concept with no official connection to FC Barcelona, Nike, or Marvel.
Many fans have even joked that this would be the perfect kit launch if Barcelona managed to sign Julián Álvarez, whose nickname is "Spider-Man".
