Did Nike Steal From This Concept Design for the PSG 18-19 Pre-Match Shirt?
Almost exactly a week ago the PSG 18-19 pre-match jersey was leaked. More recently, Francesco Collu, a talented concept creator whose work was featured on this site as well, made us aware of an eerily similar PSG concept he created last summer. So did Nike steal the design?
First off, it has to be said that, although the design was frequently reposted this since, the PSG concept by Francesco was first posted back in early June (or possibly even earlier), which means there would have been enough time for Nike to copy it.
Second, the color scheme is basically identical with the biggest change being the reverted colors of the club crest. Finally, the all-over print found on Francesco's concept is pretty much replicated in Nike's design and could probably be seen as the most proof for it being at least inspired by it.
On the other hand, a case could be made for Nike referencing another iconic PSG shirt it created back in the day - the 2006-07 away (pictured below).
