Marco Reus simply removed the laces to create a makeshift laceless edition of the Puma Future Netfit 18.1 football boots. Puma's Future Netfit cleats technology allows the player to lace their boots in any way they want, in order to get the best possible fit, no matter the shape of the foot. Marco Reus, however, decided to use no laces at all.

It was the first time that Marco Reus wore Puma's Future Netfit football boot silo in an official match. In his last official match before his injury (2017 German Cup final), Reus laced up in the Puma evoSPEED boot silo.
