Update: Joachim Löw today announced the final 2018 World Cup squad. He ruled out two Nike-sponsored players (Sane, Leno), one Under Armour player (Jonathan Tah) and one players sponsored by Adidas (Petersen).

German national team coach Joachim Löw today announced his preliminary World Cup squad. Together with Football Boots DB, who recently added the 32 World Cup teams to their site, we take a look at the boots worn by the 27 players who were selected (four will have to stay at home).

Nike (13) and Adidas (12) dominate proceedings, having signed 25 of the 27 players in the Germany preliminary squad. Only Jonathan Tah (Under Armour) and Marco Reus (Puma) wear boots made by other brands.
The expected starting line-up of Germany in the 2018 World Cup features seven Adidas and four Nike players.
