Did Dybala Wear Laceless Next-Gen Adidas Copa 19+ Boots?

A month ago Paulo Dybala was spotted wearing one of the most unusual pieces of football footwear ever seen on this site before. What exactly he was wearing remained a mystery... until now.

With the first pictures of the next-gen Copa out there, the great guys over at @botasdejugadoresoficial have suggested that Dybala might have in fact worn a laceless variant of the upcoming Copa generation.

And, in fact, the very noticeable forefoot stitching pattern on Dybala's cleats matches that of the Copa 19.1, whilst the rear is made of a knit material - just like it's the case on the Copa 19.1. The main difference is of course that Dybala's boots don't feature any laces.

Keeping in mind that Toni Kroos will switch to the Copa silo with the release of the 19 model, it doesn't seem too far-fetched to imagine Dybala making the jump as well. It's also not out of the picture for Adidas to release a laceless version of the Copa.
