La Liga Games to Be Played in the US This Season Already
La Liga today announced that it has closed a long-term deal with Relevent, organizer of the International Champions Cup, which will see regular season games of the Spanish top flight played overseas in the United States and Canada.
The deal will commence this season and games to be played abroad will involve the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico first and foremost, for financial reasons.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has explained the deal: "If the NBA or the NFL play games outside their cities and countries, why La Liga sides can't? It is important to develop our brand. It is among our short- and medium-term objectives to bring some La Liga clashes to the United States."
