Barcelona City Rivals: Espanyol Wore Croatia Kit in 2000
Recently we saw the first details on the Barcelona 2019-20 jersey surface, which is set to become one of the club's most controversial and odd ones ever with its Croatia-esque look.
While it's said that Barcelona's next home kit was actually inspired by the supporter flags flown at the Camp Nou, we've been made aware of that fact that none other than city rivals Espanyol wore a similar design all the way back in 2000.
Espanyol, who traditionally wear stripes just like Barcelona, turned up in a shirt that basically copied Croatia's famous checkers design from the 1998 World Cup.
Although inadvertently, Barcelona are set to somewhat copy their hated town rivals with their Croatian kit next season.
Let's hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Madrid CFF 26-27 Away Kit Released
Spanish Liga F club Madrid CFF has debuted its new Nike away kit for the 26-27 season. Featuring a stealthy black base with a subtle textured chevron pattern, the jersey is highlighted by a central vertical stripe comprised of fluorescent pink bars, inside of which the club name "MADRID CFF" is inscribed in neon volt lettering. The vibrant color scheme is complemented by a volt Nike Swoosh on the right chest, a recolored pink and volt crest, and matching pink sponsor prints across the front, paired with contrasting white shorts and socks.
