Adidas Discontinues Adidas Predator Leather Boots

Adidas this month launched the all-new Adidas Copa 19 and the next-gen Adidas Predator 19. However, while the Adidas Copa 19 was well received by fans and players, this also means that Adidas will stop releasing leather versions of the Adidas Predator football boot.

Just two weeks ago, Adidas released a special Adidas Predator football boots leather pack including leather versions of three colorways of the now old-gen Adidas Predator 18.1 soccer cleats. Now it turns out that the special Adidas Predator leather pack could be the last Predator leather released.

Adidas To Release No Standard Adidas Predator 19 Leather Soccer Cleat

The main reason for Adidas to 'discontinue' the kangaroo leather version is that all players who wore the leather Adidas Predator 18 will wear the Adidas Copa 19.1, so there is no real need for a leather version of the Predator anymore. Adidas wants players who wore the leather Predator to switch to the Adidas Copa 19.1, just as professionals did.

It is nevertheless already certain that there will be some special, limited edition versions of the Adidas Predator 19 with a leather upper, most likely in the form of the special-edition Adidas Predator Beckham & Zidane Predator 19 boots coming out in 2019.
