It is possible that Adidas will become SSC Napoli's new kit supplier from 2019 or 2020. Napoli has been wearing Kappa jerseys since 2015 when they signed a five-year kit deal with the Italian brand.
Napoli President Hints At Possible Adidas Partnership
SSC Napoli's contract with Kappa will expire in Summer 2020. However, it is possible that Napoli will end the relationship ahead of schedule. The rumors were spread already some months ago, when Adidas signed SSC Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne. President De Laurentiis said about Adidas' partnership with Lorenzo Insigne.
"I thank Adidas that with this agreement welcomes us in his big family. "I hope that between Naples and adidas can be born a continuous collaboration with other players and other initiatives. I am sure that our fans in Italy and around the world look with interest and satisfaction to this new friendship and to the business activities that it will generate".
Lorenzo Insigne was the first Napoli footballer that was allowed to give his image rights to a brand. President Aurelio De Laurentiis previouslyhas always defended the club’s right to own the image rights of its footballers.
After losing Milan to Puma, Adidas currently only makes the kits of the Italian record champions Juventus.
