Van Dijk to Join Puma?

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk could be about to leave Nike after he was pictured wearing another brand's blackout boots in training today. Specifically, he laced up in a pair of blackout Puma Future 19.1 Netfit boots, which is the next generation of the Puma Future that will drop in January 2019.

Puma has been signing up several high-profile players recently, including Luis Suarez and Dejan Lovren, and van Dijk, who has been wearing Nike for his entire career at the top level thus far.

With the Puma Future 19 slated to drop just as the new year starts, it seems plausible to assume that van Dijk's contract with Nike will end at the end of 2018. Most of Puma's recent pick ups have been swift and we expect this to be no different.
