Kompany Joins Puma
Puma earlier today confirmed the signing of Manchester City and Belgium defender Vincent Kompany, who had mostly been using the brand's boots for a couple of months, alternating the Puma Future with the Adidas Ace 16.1 Leather.
Kompany famously slammed his former sponsor Adidas publicly for discontinuing his favorite Ace 16.1 Leather model last year. In the official announcement titled 'Kompany Joins Puma Fam', Kompany is quoted stating "I was a leather boot only guy 'til I met the Future."
Interestingly, Kompany laced up in the Adidas Ace 16 earlier this month against Watford, but we expect him to fully make the switch to the Puma Future now.
